What is Alpha-1?
Challenge
Arch Creative were invited to produce a series of 5 videos that helped to educate the public about the condition Alpha-1. Each video was filmed remotely by the people who are directly affected by this disease. This video features Mick who tells of his personal journey with Alpha-1.
Solution
We proposed an abstract led approach to elevate the self captured video footage by using motion graphics and kinetic typography. Our main challenge was to ensure the self captured webcam footage was elevated so as not to detract from each individual’s story. Through typography we could focus on certain words and sentences, helping to bring their emotion and story into focus.
As part of the campaign I produced a working video guidelines document to lead and steer the creative production of the whole campaign. This was constructed to help lead two creative agencies based in EMEA to work further on other video content whilst maintaining consistency across all of the digital content.
I was responsible for art direction, composition and design, 2D motion graphics, editing, colour grading, compositing, audio and sound effects.
Software used included Photoshop, After Effects and Audition.
